Jonathan graduated in Classics at Exeter University in 1993 and subsequently completed the Diploma in Law at Manchester Metropolitan University in 2004 with Commendation and the Legal Practice Course at Liverpool John Moores in 2006, also with Commendation.

He has had extensive knowledge and experience in respect of homeless applicants. Before training as a solicitor, Jonathan worked as a Manager for the Whitechapel Centre where he managed the floating support team for people with drug and alcohol problems. His case load consists entirely of housing matters and he qualified in 2008, having completed his training contract with Jackson and Canter.

He also acts as a mentor to law students from both Liverpool Universities and is a member of the North West Housing Law Practitioners Association. He particularly has expertise in mortgage possession proceedings having successfully defended such claims on technical points.
