Michelle Haughian / Senior Caseworker
Michelle graduated from the University of Central Lancashire with an LLB Hons . She went on to study the Legal Practice Course and graduated with Distinction in 2007. She joined Jackson & Canter in 2008 and is an accredited senior caseworker. Prior to joining the firm she volunteered at the CAB and Shelter.
She has a particular interest in gender-related protection issues and has represented victims of trafficking, domestic violence and honour crimes. She is a member of the Anti-Trafficking Legal Project and a trustee of the Merseyside Refugee Asylum Group's pre- and post-natal support group.
Her current caseload includes asylum and human rights appeals in the First Tribunal and the Upper Tribunal, asylum seeking children, complex EEA applications and detainee work.
