Stephen is a Senior Immigration Caseworker at QualitySolicitors Jackson & Canter. He graduated from the University of Leeds in 2007 with an Upper Second Class degree in Law. He then studied the Legal Practice Course at BPP in Leeds, obtaining a Distinction.

Stephen trained at Refugee and Migrant Justice in immigration law, specialising in Legal Aid asylum work. He has also worked for Immigration Advisory Service before joining QualitySolicitors Jackson & Canter in April 2011.

He takes a particular interest in the political situation in Africa, having worked and travelled there extensively, gaining valuable experience whilst working at the Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative in Ghana. In addition to this, he is a member of Young Legal Aid Lawyers, whilst he has also contributed to major national newspapers on issues related to Immigration and Asylum Law.
