QS Jordans secure Crime Duty Contract

QS Jordans together with their consortium partners have secured an offer of one of the 7 Duty Contracts available in South Yorkshire .

Whilst QS Jordans strongly supported all the action against these reforms to the market , we are delighted to have secured the opportunity to continue to provide a vital public service .

QS Jordans were first approached 18 months ago to lead a bid application and we joined with our Partners Grainger Appleyard and Howard & Co to submit a robust plan for the delivery of Duty Solicitor Representation in South Yorkshire . This will be delivered across 8 different offices in the County through a stable of experienced Duty Solicitors and Case Workers .

We are very grateful to the National Quality Solicitor Brand and our Consultant Peter Rush - The Pitch Doctor who helped us pull our bid together .

It should be noted that we supported action throughout against the contracts including agreeing to withdraw our bid if others in the same procurement zone also agreed to do so .  We could of done no more to support opposition to the new scheme . Now we must service the contract we have achieved .

Mark Newby , Partner QS Jordans said :

" We are proud that through our hard work this consortium has acheived one of the South Yorkshire Contracts and we look forward to working with our partners and the LAA over the next few years in delivering a model of high quality representation in South Yorkshire .

At the same time we do not resile from our consistent opposition to the market reforms introduced by this government which will see the loss of many good lawyers . The unremitting attack on public funding in every area of work is only serving to damage our justice system , perhaps fatally "
