Next Week is Dementia Awareness Week

There are 850,000 people with dementia in the UK, with numbers set to rise to over 1 million by 2025. This will soar to 2 million by 2051. The Alzheimer’s Society have launched this year's Dementia Awareness Week, 15 – 21 May, to encourage people who are worried about dementia to confront their worries by addressing dementia directly and contacting the Alzheimer's Society for information and support.

The Health and Community Care Team at Moore & Tibbits are proud to be supporting dementia awareness week by talking at an event organised by the Warwickshire Reminiscence Action Project which is an information programme for those carers “looking after a loved one” with dementia.  This event will take place at Briar Croft in Stratford-upon-Avon and our specialist team will be providing advice and information regarding the legal aspects of care to include Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and issues surrounding paying for care.

We have also been invited as guest speaker at the Forget-Me-Not Dementia cafe at The Lawns, Whitnash in June.  For more details of upcoming events, please click here

The team at Moore & Tibbits are very proactive in trying to get as much information and awareness as possible to carers and support groups surrounding the legal aspects of care.  If you would like our team to come and talk at a support group near you, please contact Esme Hill on 01926 491181 or email:  esmeh@moore-tibbits.co.uk
