Has your Cosmetic Surgery gone wrong?
The decision to undergo cosmetic surgery is a deeply personal one and it rarely an easy decision to make. Unfortunately, cosmetic surgery is often carried out outside the NHS and whilst most patients are happy with the results of their chosen surgery, increasing numbers of people are being left devastated after operations go wrong.
If cosmetic surgery goes wrong, patients are left not only with a large bill to pay but may also be left in tremendous pain and require corrective surgery. Operations can go wrong in all areas of cosmetic surgery, including breast augmentation and reduction, nose surgery (rhinoplasty), eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) and liposuction.
If you have suffered any injury during or after undergoing cosmetic surgery, then you may have a claim for medical negligence compensation and our specialist team of Solicitors will be able to assist you with a claim.

Cosmetic Surgery Case Studies
- Our client opted for a breast enhancement from AA cup size to a B cup size which she felt would be proportionate to her figure. Our client underwent all of the relevant consultations and repeatedly expressed her desire to increase only to a B cup size or C cup size at the most.
When our client awoke from her operation, she was horrified to find that the surgeon had given her DD cup size breasts as he thought they would be more appropriate for her, despite her wishes to not be such a large size. She was also unhappy with the shape and positioning of the implants. Our client then had to undergo revision surgery with a different surgeon, as she lacked confidence in the surgeon who performed her original operation.
She received £15,000 in compensation.
- Our client underwent breast enlargement surgery and developed encapsulation of her left breast (which is a known complication of having implants). As such, she had to have surgery to remove the implant and replace it with a new implant.
During this operation, the client sustained a severe burn on her left breast, that was not treated correctly and in fact was left for 10 days before the surgeon reviewed it. By this point, the wound had become infected and the client therefore had to undergo further surgery to remove the implant to allow the wound to heal properly.
Our client had to wait several months for the wound to heal, before she could have a replacement implant. This was understandably a distressing time.
Our client received £17,500 in compensation.
