Managing Partner of Amphlett Lissimore, Frank Lissimore said: “It is a fantastic event and one that we are proud to be a part of.

“The festival is getting better and better each year and is a wonderful way of bringing the whole community together.

“We are looking forward to being involved with it.”

The week-long event is set to be revamped and has had “overground” removed from its name.

The festival will run from Monday, June 11 until Sunday, June 17, with the main concert being held on Saturday.

A full programme of entertainment is still to be announced but last year’s festival saw fringe theatre performances, gigs, and markets taking place in the park.

Festival director Noreen Meehan said: “We had such a wonderful 2017 event and we were all very happy with how it went but we never rest.

“We have been looking at how we can improve our visitors’ experience and also fundraising like crazy.

“This has led to a new look for the festival logo and marketing with a new name albeit not so different – just Crystal Palace Festival from now on.”
