I specialise in property litigation with an emphasis on leasehold, housing and general landlord and tenant law. My work includes lease extensions, freehold acquisitions through collective enfranchisement, right to first refusal and service charge disputes. I act for private, public and commercial landlords and leaseholders/tenants, and have appeared in various county courts, magistrates’ courts, the High Court and the Residential Property Tribunal. I have supported counsel in the Crown Court and Court of Appeal.
I initially obtained a journalism degree which involved learning about various legal areas relevant to journalism, such as defamation and contempt of court. I really enjoyed studying the legal aspects of journalism and this convinced me to study law. I qualified as a solicitor in 2007 and have been lucky to have trained and worked with many intelligent, experienced and influential solicitors, barristers and judges. I enjoy a diversity of legal work and act for a wide range of clients, from tenants of private residential premises to large commercial organisations and public landlords.
My main aim on any case is to provide professional and practical legal advice and achieve client satisfaction.
