I am the Children Law partner at Amphlett Lissimore with over 25 years’ experience of cases concerning children, specialising in complex care cases and adoption proceedings.
I am on the Law Society's Children panel and I represent children, parents and other family members in care and related proceedings. I am accredited to act for either a child alongside their guardian, or indeed a child who is old enough and has the capacity to make their own decisions. In Adoption cases, I have represented children, parents, and prospective adopters. I also act in proceedings involving applications for a Special Guardianship Order.
My primary objective is to act in the best interests of the child and their family. I am a member of Resolution and will always listen to you, be honest with you and treat you with respect. I will support you throughout, ensuring that you fully understand the process and can be confident that your voice will be heard.
I undertake most of my own advocacy in all courts including the High Court to ensure that you have the continuity of advice, representation and support you deserve. Where appropriate, I will also instruct a barrister as well as relevant experts to present the strongest possible case on your behalf.
I am based in Crystal Palace, but work across South London, particularly the London Boroughs of Croydon, Sutton, Wandsworth, Lambeth and Southwark. As Head of the Children Law department, I have extensive knowledge of all our cases and often act as an advocate for others within the firm where my expertise is required.
