We can become involved when social services first intervene (when they will not necessarily want to remove children at once), or we can act at very short notice when court proceedings are issued and the council want to take the children at once or have already taken them. We often attend child protection conferences with parents so that they can be sure that their viewpoint will be heard and so that they understand what the council intend to do.
We're here to help
We want to be able to offer sympathetic practical support, to ensure that you are properly advised on your rights, that your views are heard, that every possible representation is made on your behalf, and that the best possible outcome is obtained for you.
In our experience many people have suffered immense problems before social services have intervened or are vulnerable themselves due to disabilities or health or life experiences. If you are among them, we will obtain expert reports and help where appropriate, so that your case is as strong as it can be.
