Rachel has been with Barwells Solicitors for 12 years and is currently working as a Private Client Practitoner in our Eastbourne office assisting with Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Management of Elderly Client Affairs and Administration of Estates. Rachel qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive Lawyer in 2015 after passing the Cilex Level 3 Professional Diploma in Law and Practice and Level 6 Professional Higher Diploma in Law and Practice. She completed her qualification whilst working full time and gained distinctions in the majority of her exams.
Since qualifying as a Chartered Legal Executive, Rachel has obtained membership to Solicitors for the Elderly and has also become a Dementia Friend. Rachel prides herself on being friendly, professional and caring. She deals with the making and operating of Lasting Powers of Attorney and assists elderly clients with the management of their affairs. Rachel also prepares Wills for clients from the most straightforward of Wills to much more complex Wills where clients require Inheritance Tax saving techniques, they want to protect their assets against future care home fees or they have a beneficiary who suffers with a disability and cannot manage their own finances and require their inheritance to be held in trust for them. Rachel also offers free advice sessions to clients in our Eastbourne Office on a Wednesday afternoon.
In her spare time Rachel enjoys gardening and spending time with her husband and children at her husband's farm and getting her hands dirty!. Due to the location of the farm, Rachel enjoys taking long countryside walks with her three dogs.
