John Kirkham

Principal

John qualified as a solicitor in 1988 and throughout his career has been a criminal lawyer; he is a Duty Solicitor both in Newcastle and more recently in North Tyneside. As the Head of the Firms respected Criminal Department each client is a person not just a file reference.

This starts at the outset of case following an arrest when John is one of a number of in house lawyers and accredited Police Station Representatives who provide 24 hour 365 day a year cover.

John regards the advice given at the police station to be the foundation of a solid defence whether it is for a theft or a murder. One of his major concerns is that the public are not fully aware that regardless of their financial circumstances that there is no cost to them if we represent them at the police station and that their defence could be adversely affected if they decline to have us present.

John has been involved in cases of the most serious nature, including major drugs trials and murders involving complicated issues relating to Diminished Responsibility and fitness to plead.

John is a keen guitar player, having missed out as a Rock God. When he's not working hard, he loves a game a golf, we can definitely see him as the next Tiger Woods!
