Throughout October the firm is providing professional Will writing services, at no cost to you if you’re over 55,
QualitySolicitors Bradbury Roberts & Raby, a member of the UK’s leading network of local high street law firms, is once again participating in Barnardo’s annual October Will Month. Along with a number of other promotional activities this year it marks the charity’s 150thanniversary.
Throughout October the firm is providing professional Will writing services, at no cost to you if you’re over 55, in the hope that you consider leaving a Gift in your Will to Barnardo’s.
Last year Barnardo’s, which was founded in Victorian London in 1866, worked with more than 248,000 children, young people and their families, running 996 essential services all focused on the care of young people across the UK.
Barnardo’s has just launched its new TV and social media campaign entitled ‘Believe In Me’ and has outlined its strategy to support an increasing number of children and young people over the next decade.

Now in its fourth successive year, Will Month 2016 takes place throughout October and aims to raise awareness of the importance of having your affairs in order if you pass away unexpectedly. QualitySolicitors customer research has shown that 70% of UK adults aged over 50 are currently without a valid last Will and Testament.
If you die without having made a Will (intestate), the distribution of your assets is currently decided under UK law. This may mean your estate does not go who you want it to go to and can lead to disagreements among family members, who may have varying interpretations of your final wishes. Will Month 2016 is therefore able to help you and your family across the country avoid such upset.
During the whole of October 2016, QualitySolicitors Bradbury Roberts & Raby will dedicate their time and expertise at no cost to you, if you are over 55 and wish to update your Will, or draw up a Will for the first time.
As QualitySolicitors’ official charity partner since 2010, Barnardo’s simply hope that you will then consider remembering the charity alongside your family and friends when you arrange your affairs. Barnardo’s benefit hugely from legacy donations each year and every gift left to Barnardo’s contributes directly to creating a better future for a child in the UK.
Last year, following the Will Month Campaign, QualitySolicitors Bradbury Roberts & Raby created no less than 9 Wills, which collectively provided Barnardo’s with a phenomenal estimated value of £116,350 worth of legacy donations!
Victoria Norman, Associate Solicitor for Wills & Probate at QualitySolicitors Bradbury Roberts & Raby, comments: “Everyone in the firm is fully behind Will Month 2016. We’ve been working with Barnardo’s for a number of years now and last year we exceeded all Will Month records because of clients’ exceptional generosity. So this October we’re looking to do even better, help more people get their affairs in order and secure important legacy donations for Barnardo’s. These invaluable contributions will help them continue to provide the vital services they offer to vulnerable children across the UK.”
Dylan Carroll, Senior Relationships Manager from Barnardo’s, explains: “We are extremely proud of our six year partnership with QualitySolicitors. We are thankful for their contribution to support Barnardo’s work. The partnership offers participants the security of a professionally drafted Will at no cost and the opportunity to leave a lasting legacy, alongside loved ones to a vital cause. Everyone that remembers Barnardo’s in their Wills during Will Month this October and beyond, will leave a vulnerable child someone to turn to in the future.”
