I am one of the Practice Managers of QualitySolicitors Bradbury Roberts & Raby; I have been with the firm since May 2015. Prior to joining the team, I studied Law at University of Leeds and completed my Legal Practice Course and Masters in Legal Practice at BPP Law School. In 2013 I studied in my own time whilst working and gained the Certificate in Insurance.
During my working life, I have worked for two city Law Firms and a leading Insurer in Leeds, and most recently I worked for a global recruitment agency. I feel that the breadth and depth of my previous qualifications and experience and the skills and knowledge I have gained have been invaluable assets to me in my current role.
My day-to-day responsibilities are wide-ranging and diverse and include working with my colleague and fellow Practice Manager Jane Lawson, as we strive to relieve our solicitors of the administrative tasks associated with running the business, thus enabling them to concentrate on the provision of legal advice. I deal with the day-to-day administration of areas such as Human Resources, Financial Management, Quality Standards, Compliance, Lexcel accreditation and the management of our Legal Aid Contract. I really enjoy the diversity and challenge of this fast paced role. No two days are the same and keep Jane and I on our toes.
I feel proud to be part of an organisation that delivers a very high standard of Client Care and also that my role involves helping to maintain that high standard.
Outside of the office I enjoy sewing and dressmaking, running (necessary for the next two hobbies), cooking and baking.
