Amanda Collins

Paralegal - Family Law

I joined QualitySolicitors Burton & Co in November 2017 as part of the Family Department dealing with all areas of Family Law. These can range from adoption, arrangements for children and divorce through to pre-nuptial agreements and living together arrangements.

Prior to joining the department, I worked for a firm in the Nottinghamshire area as a Paralegal in the Criminal Department and achieved probationary police station accreditation status, allowing me to represent clients who are required to attend police interviews on both a compulsory and voluntary basis.

I read Law as a mature student at the University of Lincoln and achieved a Lower Second Class Honours Degree. I have since continued on to the International Law Masters course, of which I am currently awaiting my results.

In September 2017, I began my part-time Legal Practice Course at Nottingham Trent University and in addition will be working towards achieving fully accredited police station representative status in the new year.

In my current role, I will be supporting the Family Department and particularly solicitors Nicola Booth and Sofia Lagergren in offering tailor-made solutions to all types of Family Law matters.
