Judging is under way for the NatWest Venus Awards, Brighton & Sussex 2014.

Judging is under way for the NatWest Venus Awards, Brighton & Sussex 2014 and QualitySolicitors Howlett Clarke are delighted to be an awards sponsor.

Pamela Austen, herself a finalist in last years awards, is delighted to support the event. “QS Howlett Clarke are pleased to be a part of this exciting award by sponsoring the New Business category, which recognises the important part that women have to play in being part of any business environment”.

After a frenzy of nominations for NatWest Venus Awards the applications are now in.   The awards were set up in 2009 to recognise and reward local women across the Country. The difficult task now begins for the judges to decide on the deserving finalists from Brighton and Sussex who will be invited to attend the glamorous Award Ceremony at the Historic Grand Hotel on 17th October 2014 where the winners will be announced.

It is an exciting time for the region as the mass of nominations and applications are now in and judging is well under way.  It looks like there is going to be stiff competition with the vast amount of participation – it has been sky high this year!  As part of the Venus Awards process the Nominee Networking event is being held on the 19th June at Brighton Racecourse.  This is when the semi-finalists will be announced.

Most of the categories are judged by the sponsors leaving The Argus Customer Service and Juice 107.2 Business Mother categories to face the public vote, so it will be down to you!  Voting opens on the 3rd of July for just one week – that’s a date for your diary.

Tara, the founder of the Venus Awards and a business woman herself comments: “It really is inspiring to see how much support and enthusiasm there is for the awards and what a difference they can make. I’ve even had past winners confess to me that the awards have changed their lives – that’s really powerful, and drives me forward to expand, and launch the awards in new regions to recognise more
deserving women.”
