On 27th October 2016 we hosted a charity 5 a side football tournament at St Georges School, Southampton to support and raise awareness for the Saints Foundation. With relentless support from other professional businesses the day was a great success and we managed to raise over £500. The Saints Foundation had a great presence at the tournament and one of their teams even made it to the final but unfortunately lost to the eventual winners… Wilkins Kennedy. Congratulations to Wilkins Kennedy for winning the tournament, they played very well and were deserved winners.
Teams from Eric Robinson, Natwest, Lester Aldridge, Moneysprite Solent, Knight Goodhead, Lloyds, Saints Foundation, Wilkins Kennedy participated in the tournament.
The day was a huge success and we hope that everyone that participated enjoyed it as much as we did. As well as the football tournament we also held two raffle draws for a signed Southampton FC football shirt, signed Southampton FC football boots and two family theatre tickets for The Point. Thank you to the many businesses that donated prizes and enabled us to raise so much money for the Saints Foundation. We hope to see you all there again next year. We have already started planning, although the thought of playing again is already hurting our legs!
Over the past few years we have built a strong and lasting partnership with the Saints Foundation. We see and hear first hand the support they offer not only to children but vulnerable adults too. This can be seen in individuals, groups and even whole communities. They work tirelessly to ensure that they are providing the support that is needed across Southampton and the surrounding areas. This work however cannot be done without our support. A key way to support the foundation is to raise money for them, after all it goes to a great cause.
