Before qualifying I travelled extensively over a period of years funded by a variety of work. I completed my training in one of Hampshire’s well established legal practices and become its twentieth or so partner.

In 1984 I set up in practice in Eastleigh as a sole practitioner with absolutely no client base. Over time I negotiated the acquisition and amalgamation of three separate legal practices and have watched the firm grow to the size it is today.

I have a very broad-based legal background and have dealt with virtually all aspects of law, contentious and non-contentious, private and public funding. I have obtained specialist qualifications in different fields.

I have been involved in a series of high profile cases some of which have made the front page of national papers. I have successfully defended clients charged with murder.

I genuinely love my work and get tremendous satisfaction in looking after clients’ interests and presenting their case to the best of my ability. I try and engender that in others.

I am proud of all the hardworking staff who have made the firm the success that it is.

I am a member of Southampton Magistrates' Court and Police Station Duty Solicitor Scheme
