Legal Secretary – Conveyancing

We are recruiting for a Legal Secretary to undertake conveyancing work. The successful candidate will have experience in residential conveyancing and be able to undertake most / all of the following:

Audio typing
Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders and mortgage advisers
Ordering online precontract searches
Drafting basic contracts and TR1’s
Submitting OS1 & K16 searches at HMLR
Drafting basic completion statements
Updating lender portals
Request redemption statements
Filing HMLR online applications
Completing and submitting online basic SDLT returns
Diary management
File management

The candidate will be expected to be proactive and assist the Solicitor they work for in progressing files, they must also be organised and competent with technology and office 365. We work in a supportive team environment, although the role is to principally work for a senior Solicitor within the Firm. We are based on Team Valley, Gateshead and have free on-site parking.

Role: Full-time permanent 9am – 5pm

Salary: commensurate with experience
