Florence is a Partner and Head of Wills and Later Life Advice at QualitySolicitors Parkinson Wright.

She obtained BA Hons in English at Leeds University and undertook a law conversion. Florence qualified as a Solicitor in September 2000.

Florence joined QualitySolicitors Parkinson Wright in 2004 and a Wills and Later Life Advisor at the Droitwich office. She specialises in Wills (including tax planning Wills), probate, Court of Protection work and Lasting Power of Attorney.

Florence also runs a free legal advice surgery offering advice to the over 50’s in partnership with Age UK Herefordshire and Worcestershire at their office in Malven Link and their office in Droitwich.

In short, it allows one adult to appoint another adult to look after their financial affairs or their health, if they lose their ability to make their own decisions.       WHAT DOES A LASTING POWER OF ATTORNEY DO?

      Lasting Power of Attorney, or LPA, is a legal document that allows you to appoint another person, known as your attorney, to make decisions and act on your behalf if you need help. It can be used if you lose your ability to make decisions, through dementia for example, or if you decide you no longer want to make your own decisions.

      There are two types of power of attorney, one to allow a trusted person to deal with your finances, and another to allow a trusted person to deal with your health.
