Zahra is a Partner at QualitySolicitors Parkinson Wright.
She qualified as a Solicitor in 2011. Zahra specialises in cases where Children’s Services (Social Services) are involved and is an accredited member of the Law Society Children’s Panel and member of Resolution.
She represents parents, children, grandparents, and other family members where a child has been removed from their home. Zahra is a skilled advocate regularly attending the Magistrates Court, County Court and High Court. She has represented clients in applications for Care Orders, Special Guardianship Orders, Placement and Adoption Orders, and Child Arrangement Orders.
Zahra has dealt with cases involving complex non-accidental injuries to children, allegations of physical abuse or sexual abuse, cases where there is alleged drug use, domestic abuse and cases involving neglect.
Zahra has a firm belief in representing clients from start to finish. She attends Child Protection Conferences and pre-proceeding meetings. She has represented a number of clients where parents have successfully applied for a discharge of a care order. She has a strong ethic that prevention is better than cure. She will guide parents and family members in identifying any concerns and addressing what, if any, changes need to be made including signposting to relevant support where needed.
Prior to becoming a Solicitor, Zahra worked in Romania as a Support Worker at a children’s hospital and in 2 children’s homes for children with special needs.
