I studied for an LLB in Law at Northumbria University.  I went on to complete my Training Contract and qualified as a Solicitor in 1999. Remaining in the same firm for 20 years, I worked in both matrimonial, Family and Criminal aspects of law before deciding to specialise in matrimonial and family law alone approximately 14 years ago. I therefore have 20 years (18 years post qualification) experience in all aspects of matrimonial and family law.

I specialise in divorce, separation, financial settlements following divorce, and disputes concerning children including residence and contact disputes by parents.  In addition I also advise grandparents and other family members in respect of their relationships and maintaining those  relationships with children within their family.  In addition I would also advise on pre-marital agreements and for couples who live together.

As a mother of 3 children myself I am aware not only of the legal aspects of Case Law but also the emotional distress and anxiety that can be caused by a relationship breakdown.  I would be able to guide clients through the legal process in respect of the above not only clearly and effectively but also sympathetically.
