I am joint Senior Partner and Managing Partner. I have been a Solicitor in Private Practice for 30 years. I like being responsible for the day to day running of the firm as well as handling a large, interesting and varied caseload that stretches across a number of areas of law.

I relish a challenge as well as a good argument (whilst recognizing that sometimes the clients interests are best served by a quick and effective settlement) and therefore enjoy advocacy and being able to present in person my clients case. Direct client contact is very important to me. Whilst I would ensure you are kept up to date by letter, email or phone I believe there is no substitute for face to face meetings.

My aim is to provide a professional, efficient and effective service to all my clients whilst being honest, friendly and sensitive. I have a good sense of humour although half my staff and all three of my children would probably disagree.

I am a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers and a criminal Duty Solicitor. I head the clinical negligence and general litigation departments within the firm. I have been successful in a number of very large cases including a three million pound clinical negligence case on behalf of a young child.

Outside interests include travel, reading, playing football (three times a week), supporting Manchester United (and I am from Manchester!), theatre and my family (not necessarily in that order).
