    The Criminal Cases Review Commission , the independent body charged with investigating miscarriages of justice , recently held a conference in Birmingham with Stakeholders .

    This is a precursor to the Governments Non-Departmental Triennial Review into the Commission which will conclude on the 14th December .

    The meeting raised some important issues supported by Speakers such as Professor Michael Zander who played a key role in its creation .

    Mark Newby from QualitySolicitors Jordans was invited to attend and now writes for The Justice Gap Online Justice Magazine on why even the most ardent critic needs to consider being a cheerleader for the commission at the moment .

    Today Prime Minister David Cameron highlighted the dangers of contributing to a witch hunt against people following allegations made in relation to the North Wales Care Homes Allegations .

    This call could not have been more timely and matched an article issued today on The Justice Gap by Mark Newby of QualitySolicitors Jordans and Mark Barlow of Garden Court North Chambers .

    The article finally calls for a sense of proportion to the frenzy we have seen over the last few weeks which seems almost unchecked by both the Media and the Government and State machinery .

    The authors call for that sense of proportion to ensure that justice is done both to those who have been sexually abused and also to those who may be wrongfully accused .
