Social care remains the Cinderella service to the NHS and for some reason the very reasonable arguments for more funding made by the likes of ADASS continue to fall on deaf ears. Legal challenges to service and funding cuts using the Care Act 2014 have so far been unsuccessful (see the provider article for more information on the recent care funding case).
