The Conveyancing Process. What to Expect

Every property transaction is different.. They usually follow the same steps. Here's what you can expect:

1. Instructing Your Solicitor

You instruct us. We send you a welcome pack. We do ID checks. Get the matter started.

2. Searches and Enquiries

We order property searches, including authority, drainage and environmental searches. We also ask questions about boundaries and fixtures.

3. Reviewing the Mortgage Offer

If you're buying with a mortgage we review the offer to ensure it's consistent with what you've been told.

4. Exchange of Contracts

This is when the transaction becomes legally binding. Both sides sign contracts a deposit is. A completion date is set.

5. Completion
