Wednesday 15 August 2018 marks APIL’s Injury Prevention Day 2018.

The aim of the campaign is to challenge people to think about what they can do to prevent harm, with last years focus being on preventing low-speed traffic accidents. This year’s theme is protecting drivers and passengers against whiplash injuries by ensuring that head rests are adjusted correctly. The day is promoted by the association of personal injury lawyers and as members of the association we here at QualitySolicitors Dunn & Baker give it our full support.

Whilst not the most romantic of documents, they can help to remove, or at least reduce, the areas of disagreement in unhappier times.

The preparation of divorce or dissolution proceedings has become increasingly formulaic with the new user friendly form designed to save the court time and couples the need to involve a lawyer. The reality, however, is that individuals still prefer to employ the expertise and assistance of a lawyer. This is hardly surprising when you consider reaching the decision to separate is a hard enough task in itself where naturally there are a flood of feelings both mixed and sometimes determined to make brave changes which will immediately impact upon the future lives of each person, their children, families and friends.
