Chris Tagg

Associate Solicitor / Head of Dispute Resolution Department

Chris joined Dunn & Baker Solicitors' Exeter office in May 2024 as a full-time Solicitor and now leads the Dispute Resolution Department. Originally from Lincolnshire, Chris has worked across various locations in the UK since the beginning of his legal career, relocating to Devon in 2012. Over the years, he has garnered extensive experience in a number of litigation areas, including dispute resolution, personal injury, criminal law, and medical negligence.

Chris obtained his Law degree from the University of Hull in 1993 before completing the LPC at the College of Law, York, in 1994. He qualified as a Solicitor in 1996 after completing his Training Contract with a North Yorkshire firm.

Although Chris has worked in a variety of litigation fields, he specialises in Dispute Resolution and Personal Injury cases. His extensive experience includes handling complex litigation such as Will disputes, catastrophic injuries, business disputes, brain and spinal injuries, and property and inheritance disputes. He also deals with cases involving agricultural or family business issues and those with historical or archaeological elements.

Chris advises both individual and business clients, with a particular focus on clients with disabilities or communication challenges.

Chris is dedicated to guiding clients through the legal process, ensuring they receive tailored advice and representation rather than a standardised service. He prides himself on his clear communication, approachability, and practical approach to dispute resolution. Consultations are available in person, by phone, or via online platforms such as Zoom.
