Stephen joined QualitySolicitors Dunn & Baker in 2013 and is a partner and the head of our commercial team. Stephen specialises in commercial property work, including acting for both landlords and tenants in the grant or taking of commercial leases and associated requirements, sales and purchases of non-residential property and businesses involving Property, including conditional contracts, overage and option agreements and secured lending requirements. Stephen is experienced in a variety of complex work and undertakes a mix of commercial property transactions but has particular expertise in SIPP acquisitions and disposals, secured lending and business asset sales/purchases. His clients include pension providers, commercial investors and developers, landlords and tenants, banks and business operators.

Stephen undertook his undergraduate degree in Brisbane Australia, followed by the Post Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course at the University of Exeter. Stephen is well known in the local Property Community and prior to becoming a solicitor, Stephen worked in the hospitality and tourism industry and as a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer on a large barrier reef resort and so has a keen customer service focus. This is evidenced by loyal clients who have followed Stephen to Quality Solicitors Dunn & Baker and use him as a point of contact for all of their legal matters.

Stephen has lived and worked in the south west since 1998 and is well known in the property community.

Existing clients have advised that they have found Stephen to be approachable, easy to understand (in that he avoids using legal lingo where possible) and uses a constructive approach to getting the deal done.
