Why would I do it? Here’s why

– and if you’d like to help with donations that would be appreciated…

Twelve months ago if someone had told me I'd be walking the Great Wall of China, and 5 months after that going to Everest base camp - I’d have laughed in their face! Twelve months ago the only places I walked were up the escalators at the Fenwicks sales (or possibly one or two additional shops too!).

Realising I'm not getting any younger, and that life can treat those less fortunate than ourselves very badly I’m now trying to help them the best way I can – with actions as well as words!  So this is it -

NEPAL & EVEREST BASE CAMP TREK TO RAISE FUNDS FOR TASHI ORPHANAGE & BOARDING SCHOOL, KATHMANDU

On the 9th April 2016 we’ll be leaving the UK to visit Nepal, a Country still trying to recover from the devastating 2015 earthquake.  Over an 18 day period the plan is to trek to Everest Base Camp which is 5360m above sea level with the hope of taking with us any kind donations from anyone who cares to help -  of funds, clothing and sports equipment for the students of Tashi Orphanage & Boarding School – TBS.

TBS is a home for in excess of 100 orphaned, destitute and disabled children from remote areas of Nepal, as well as refugees from Tibet.  Any clothing, educational or sports related donations received will be personally given to the children during our trip & financial contributions will be provided to assist in funding future projects within the school including helping to increase the teacher’s basic salaries.

No matter how big or small your support may be it will be massively appreciated.

A full commentary of our travels (signal permitting) will be available from the QualitySolicitors Lawson & Thompson Facebook page, and also Instagram gillianrobsonEBC  so please keep in touch and offer your support.

Thanks in advance, and wish us luck!!!!! Gillie & Glenn ☺
