Andrew Findlay

Andrew joined Lawson and Thompson in April 2017. He originally graduated with a degree in Psychology from Newcastle University in 1999. Following a conversion to law he joined Her Majesty’s Court Service in 2002 working firstly in Hexham and subsequently throughout Northumbria as a court clerk. From 2010 onwards he mostly specialised in matters concerning family law.
Having left the Court Service in 2016 Andrew has gained significant further experience as an in house lawyer with North Yorkshire Police dealing with matters as diverse as firearms licensing, public order planning and Sexual Risk Orders.
Andrew lives in Northumberland with his wife and three children. In his spare time he enjoys golf, tennis and cooking.
