Continued sponsorship of Northern Rugby and Squash Club’s Annual Junior Open

QS Lawson and Thompson are proud to continue our sponsorship of the Northern Rugby and Squash Club’s annual junior open, which takes place on 13th and 14th February.

This is a tournament for juniors aged 11 to 18 which attracts the best juniors from across the north of England, including juniors who have played for England at various age levels.

Situated on McCracken Road, off Great North Road in Gosforth, the junior section at Northern is thriving. Head coach Richard Vitty, with the assistance of other coaches at the club, has overseen the annual tournament and the junior section at Northern for a number of years.

He is delighted that QualitySolicitors Lawson and Thompson have continued to sponsor the tournament saying

“The money QualitySolicitors Lawson and Thompson put into the tournament enables us to provide t-shirts to every participating junior. In addition it helps us provide financial assistance to players and their parents who travel up and down the country to participate, often very successfully at regional and national tournaments. It is a big commitment, time and finance wise, for the kids and their parents to travel from the Newcastle to areas like Yorkshire, Birmingham, Surrey, Nottingham, Manchester, Sheffield and many other places and if we can help them with that in some way then we do. The sponsorship assists massively with this.

It is paying dividends. Over the last few years one junior has played for England and another has made the top 4 in the country. We have others who are in and around the top 20. A massive achievement for one club.”

QualitySolicitors Lawson and Thompson are really pleased to support the club and their tournament. Family Law specialist Member in the firm,  Tim barker will be at Northern over the tournament weekend to support the kids and give out the prizes to the winners and runners up at the ned. Good luck to all who enter!
