Khalid Elahi

Solicitor Advocate - Partner

I qualified as a Barrister in 2001 and joined QualitySolicitors Mirza as a solicitor in 2002. I am now the Managing Partner of the firm. I have worked hard and tirelessly over the last eighteen years to build and maintain the good reputation of this firm within both Walthamstow and the far wider community. It has always been my personal goal to ensure that this firm continues to offer quality legal services to our clients at competitive prices. We received our Lexcel accreditation in 2009 which was awarded to us for meeting the highest practice management and customer care standards.

My area of speciality is criminal defence and I am also a duty solicitor and a solicitor advocate, with higher rights of audience in criminal proceedings personally representing clients in a vast array of criminal matters ranging from benefit fraud, common assault, harassment, motoring and public order offences to much more serious crimes, such as; actual bodily harm, affray, burglary, conspiracy, drug offences, grievous bodily harm, robbery, sexual assault, rape. I also have experience of dealing with high profile and very high cost cases which includes offences of missing trader intra-community (MTIC) fraud, money laundering and terrorism related offences.

I understand that it can be very difficult emotionally for clients who find themselves in such predicaments and therefore client care is of the utmost importance in addition to continuity of services. Therefore we are dedicated to providing our clients with the best possible defence at both the police station and court.

In addition to my criminal work I also have specialist knowledge in other areas of law namely personal injury and civil litigation. I also speak fluent Punjabi and Urdu.

Outside of work I devote a majority of my time to my family and enjoy travelling.
