    A significant increase to Probate fees is set to take effect in April 2019
    If you are named in someone's Will as an Executor, you may have to apply for Probate when that person dies. This is a legal document which gives you the authority to share out the Estate of the person who has died according to the instructions in the Will.
    Probate fees must be paid up front, before the Grant of Probate can be issued. The current cost of applying for Probate when using a solicitor is around £160.

    In December we had another amazing response to the Animal Christmas Appeal. Hundreds of animals, large, small and the very tiny are abandoned throughout the year or are injured and left to fend for themselves. The Animal Rescue Centre cares for as many of these animals as they possibly can, but they rely on donations.
    Thanks to the generosity of the Barwells staff, we raised over £250 in cash donations.
    In addition, we received blankets and newspapers, and there were several large bags of animal food donated.
    A big thank you must go to Barbara Williams who worked tirelessly in organising the appeal at Barwells.

    Over two days in September, Stephen Ash will be cycling from London to Amsterdam in Aid of Barnardos. He will travel along many scenic coastal routes as he leaves the picturesque countryside of rural England behind and crosses the Channel to navigate a network of canals, cobbled streets and wonderful architecture as he heads to his destination in Amsterdam.
