I am a solicitor and Partner at Barwells with over 14 years experience specialising in Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Estate Administration, Inheritance Tax planning and elderly client affairs.
I work with a dedicated and experienced team and I'm mainly based in our Seaford office, but also have clients in Hailsham, Newhaven and across Sussex. I joined the company in 2004 as a trainee and passed with distinction with both a law degree and subsequent legal practice course whilst working at the firm. I qualified as a solicitor in 2009 and became a Partner in 2011.
Since qualifying as a solicitor, I have also obtained the prestigious Society of Trusts and Estates practitioners qualification and I'm working towards passing exams to become a member of the ‘Solicitors for the Elderly’. I pride myself on offering a friendly and caring approach with a personal and professional service tailored to the specific needs of clients at what can often be a difficult time of their lives. I deal with a mixed portfolio of work including making Wills, Power of Attorney and guiding Executors through their legal and financial duties when administering a deceased Estate. More recently I've dealt with several high value Wills and Estates and have advised on Inheritance Tax saving techniques. I also regularly advise families about how assets can be protected for children when planning for long term care.
Outside of work I enjoy going to music gigs, (occasionally) going to the gym and spending time with family and friends.
