Crediton Dementia Alliance are working towards Crediton becoming a dementia-friendly community. They invited shops, businesses and town organisations to send a representative to one of their dementia-awareness training sessions.
Our Practice Manager, Sue Williams, attended one of these sessions on 27 November and we are therefore now able to display the Purple Angel logo on our premises to show that we are a recognised supporter of Crediton Dementia Alliance.
Sue said “It was very interesting to hear the facts about dementia and to find out about the different types of dementia that exist. It was particularly helpful to understand more about the difficulties faced by someone with dementia and how we can help.”
Partner, Chris Nicholl, said “We are always pleased to support community initiatives such as this and are delighted that Sue has completed the dementia-awareness training.”
