An expanding team of specialist injury lawyers in Devon!

QualitySolicitors Dunn & Baker are delighted to welcome a new Associate Solicitor, Penelope Heighton, to its personal injury team.

Penelope has joined us from a national specialist personal injury firm where she worked for 8 years, gaining extensive experience in all aspects of injury claims, including life-changing injuries, work place injuries and disease, road traffic collisions, accidents involving children and accidents abroad/holiday disputes.

Since studying law at Bristol University and the Legal Practice Course at Exeter University, Penelope trained to be a solicitor at a top 100 national law firm based in Exeter.

“I really take pride in the work that I do. It is so important to assist clients sensitively during what can be a traumatic time for them and their families. Coordinating health professionals to rehabilitate injured clients, enabling them to get their lives back on track swiftly, are one of the most rewarding aspects of my job.” Penelope told us.

Penelope will be working from both the Exeter and Newton Abbot offices and looks forward to bringing her specialist knowledge to help injured people closer to home in Devon. Penelope explains that she has discovered an unexpected personal connection to her new firm;

“QualitySolicitors Dunn & Baker’s historic origins go back to Exeter in 1887. Albert Dunn MP took into partnership Charles Baker, who eventually went to London and formed the well-known firm of Kenneth Brown Baker and Baker where my father worked as a solicitor for many years when I was growing up. I have since persuaded my parents to retire to Exeter so things have come full circle!”

On being asked what persuaded her to join QualitySolicitors Dunn & Baker, Penelope says “I was attracted to joining a local firm where clients have remained loyal over many generations. It is to this firm’s huge credit that it makes a commitment to ensuring clients can meet with their solicitor face to face. Having worked at a practice for many years dealing only with personal injury work, it is exciting to be surrounded by new colleagues, each with specialist knowledge in many different areas of law.”

Senior Partner, Nick Penwell states “We welcome Penelope and I am confident that she will bring a positive contribution to this firm and our clients now and in the years to come.”

If you have been injured and wish to make a claim, you are welcome to contact Penelope on 01392 285000 (Exeter) or 01626 330127 (Newton Abbot) who will happily arrange a meeting with you to discuss your claim, at absolutely no cost to you.
