We are excited to announce that we are now working in partnership with local charity, ELF (Exeter Leukaemia Fund). Dan Pollard, Partner and Solicitor in our Private Client Department, has personal experience of how an illness like Leukaemia can affect a family and what amazing support a charity like ELF can provide. It is with this in mind that Dan is delighted to be able to give something back to the charity and hopefully provide vital assistance to similar families in need. Dan is working with ELF in offering free Will writing and legal services for such families, and hopes that this can ease some of the strain put on them.
Every week, hundreds of patients are treated in Yarty Ward at the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital. ELF is there to support them and their families both in the hospital and in the local community. ELF’s vision is that every family affected by blood cancers and blood disorders across the Southwest receives compassionate, tailored support. ELF lightens the load, supporting families from diagnosis, and all the way through treatment. The support that they offer includes transport, accommodation, counselling, physiotherapy, equipment, and financial and legal services.
Gary Moore, fundraiser at ELF who can be seen pictured alongside Dan, has commented that “ELF is delighted to be working in partnership with such a reputable local business, offering patients and their families the best service for Will writing, reviews and other important legal services. The results of this partnership help us to lighten the load for patients at a very stressful time in their life.
