Tim Weatherhogg
INTRODUCTION
Tim began his legal career working at a firm of Solicitors in Bude, before moving to Plymouth in 1989 and joining Dunn & Baker Solicitors in October 1991. He now boasts over 35 years of legal experience in dealing with family-related matters.
TRAINING
Having first started in the legal sector in 1987, Tim qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives in 1993.
Tim is a Resolution Accredited Specialist (Private Law Children and Domestic Abuse) as well as a member of the Law Society’s Family Law Accreditation Scheme.
SPECIALISMS
Tim specialises in working with parents and family members regarding all aspects of their children, and has expert knowledge in helping families when Children’s Services are involved. This includes assisting and attending meetings, and helping on any Court-related matter.
Dealing predominantly with legally-aided clients, Tim is experienced in making applications on his clients’ behalf and can advise on eligibility and availability of Legal Help and Legal Aid when needed.
In addition to Children’s Services-related matters, he is able to assist in all aspects of domestic abuse work and injunctions, as well as family matters that involve:
- drug and alcohol misuse;
- non-accidental injuries to children;
- young and vulnerable parents;
- parents with Mental Health illnesses;
- the Court of Appeal;
- child arrangement disputes and orders;
- children moving abroad or being taken out of the country; and
- parental responsibility disputes.
Due to his previous experience in a wider range of family work, Tim is also able to give general advice regarding other family matters and refer you to a colleague for more specialised advise when needed.

As a result of his extensive experience in family law, Tim believes in the importance of honesty and adopts a realistic approach, providing his clients with the information that they need in a clear and understandable manner. Combined with his caring and sympathetic nature, Tim is able to provide his clients with the support they need at a time when they need it the most, resulting in a high number of return clients and referrals.
