The evening was both fun filled and competitive, and after a tough run of fixtures, the team consisting of Dan Pollard, Katie Rendell-Martin, James Stone and Steven Came reached the final. The team faced testing competition from the Trowers & Hamlin team, however QualitySolicitors Dunn & Baker’s, Steven Came landed a heroic hammer blow, destroying his opponents conker, sending the on looking crowd ‘bonkers’ with excitement.
The team were presented with a fantastic trophy (see picture) which now commands pride of place in QualitySolicitors Dunn & Baker’s reception area. This turned out to be a double triumph for Dan Pollard as he was presented with some delicious conker flavoured gin following him guessing the correct number of conkers in a jar (133 – see picture of Dan’s disbelief at guessing the exact number).
The evening was also one of fundraising and we are delighted to report that a respectable figure will be making its way to HeartSWell following the event.
We very much look forward to defending our throne next year!
