Duncan Kennedy

Duncan is the Head of the Private Client Department at J A Hughes. He is involved in the areas of wills, probate, trusts, tax planning and Court of Protection matters. Duncan has a wide range of experience in all of these areas.

Education: After attending Maidenhead Grammar School Duncan studied law at University of Wolverhampton and passed his Law Society finals at Guildford College of Law.

Career: Duncan started his training in the City of London and Watford. He qualified in 1986 and was an Assistant Solicitor for three years with the firm where he completed his articles. He moved to J A Hughes in 1989 as an Assistant Solicitor and became a Partner in 1992. He has since that time taken charge of the Private Client Department of the Practice and as such now specialises in all the areas mentioned above and regularly handles large estates. He also deals with Court of Protection matters together with tax planning issues, advice on care of the elderly and Powers of Attorney and continuing health care claims.

Memberships: Duncan is a member of the Society of Trust and Estates Practitioners, Solicitors for the Elderly, and a member of the Law Society Probate Section.

Personal: Duncan is married with two children and living near Cardiff.

Leisure: Duncan participates in 41 Club. To relax he takes a keen interest in sport.
