Education

Melissa completed her secondary education in Caereinion High School in Powys before relocating to Cardiff to study classical double bass at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. Melissa then went on to study secondary education at the Cardiff Metropolitan University, qualifying as a teacher in 2013. Alongside university studies Melissa also made use of home learning courses to gain additional qualifications in additional educational needs.

Career

Following a move away from education, in 2019 Melissa took on an admin role within a conveyancing firm during which she secured a place on the in house training academy progressing through legal assistant roles and on to file carrying as a property solicitor.

Personal

In her spare time Melissa splits her time between working with various choirs and orchestras across Cardiff and representing Wales internationally in the sport of strongwoman, ranking as the 3rd strongest woman in Britain in 2023.
