Long Term Care Seminar- Tuesday 7th July

The Seminar which will hosted by ourselves and 8 Wealth Management is a chance to find out more about planning for the future, find out what legal and financial mechanisms can help safeguard finances, property and life decisions.

Long Term Care has been a hot topic of late with the new Care Act, pension reform and media interest and let's admit it, while we're now looking to be around for a bit longer, none of us are getting any younger with it. So whether your are looking at helping your parents or you are looking at your own future, long term are looks like something we had better clue ourselves up on.

We aim to simplify this subject to ensure you receive the help and understanding you need in relation to Long Term Care and make certain you and your loved ones fully understand the options available.

Care is means tested and the present means test level in the tax year 2015/16 is £23,250.  Therefore, should you have assets in excess of this amount you will be responsible for meeting your own care fees.

Our own Vivien Bradley-Shaw will be speaking about the legal ways you can deal with your assets, protects them or use them,  as well as how powers of attorney can assist you in safeguarding your wishes and decisions. Sasha McKee of 8 Wealth Management and Lynn Osborne, an Independent Care Advisor at Clarity Care Consulting will be available to help you understand how your financial arrangements may be affected.

As with all of our events, you are of course, welcome to bring along other friends, colleagues or family members who may be interested in this very pressing subject.

The seminar will be held on Tuesday 7th July 2015, at the Solent Hotel, Whiteley, Hampshire.  Welcome drinks will be available from 6.30 pm and the presentation will commence at 7.00 pm prompt.

Should you wish to attend the presentation, please let us know by email at reception@largeandgibson.co.uk, by 20th June 2015, and advise us how many guests you will be bringing.  Please can you also advise us of any specific dietary requirements for canapes which will be served.  Places are limited so please book your spaces early to avoid disappointment.
