The new grants have additional counter-fraud measures which include:
- a hologram
- digital seal instead of an embossed seal
- digital signature instead of a 'wet' signtaure, and
- a validation telephone number for people processing the document to call.
The old style grant of probates will still be valid but with the introduction of the new style, these will gradually become less and less.
