Equality and Diversity Policy

Moore & Tibbits is committed to ensuring the elimination of discrimination and the promotion of equality and diversity in all our professional dealings.   This means that all clients, job applicants and employees, counsel, experts or agents will receive equal treatment regardless of their sex (including pregnancy, maternity and paternity), marital or civil partnership status, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, race or racial group (including colour, nationality and ethnic or national origins), religion or belief, age (or perceived age) caring responsibility or disability (past or present).

In accordance with the Solicitors’ Regulation Authority’s requirements, everyone within the practice has had an opportunity to complete a survey in order to monitor the diversity data of the existing staff.

Out of 57 employees and Directors, we received 12 responses which included 1 Director; 4   undertaking another fee earner role; 4 directly supporting a fee earner; 1 from an IT/HR role, and 2 Chartered Legal Executives.

The survey covered the following areas: age, gender identity; disability; day-to-day limitations; ethnicity; religion or belief; sexual orientation; school type from 11 to 16; university attendance of parents, occupation of parental main earner, primary care for a child under 18; and time spent providing unpaid care for those with long term physical or mental ill health caused by disability or age.
