To be entitled to these statutory payments, the employee’s average earnings must meet the minimum threshold (lower earnings limit) which has increased from £113 to £116 per week.
*The Statutory Maternity Pay and Statutory Adoption Pay is 90% of an employee’s gross average weekly earnings for the first 6 weeks and £145.18 a week or 90% of the employee’s average weekly earnings (whichever is lower) for the next 33 weeks.
