It was reported that between the 1st April 2008 and 31st March 2015, the OPG overcharged thousands of people for it's supervisory service.

Refunds now available to people overcharged for deputy supervision in England and Wales
People living in England and Wales who were charged excessive deputyship supervision fees by the England and Wales Office of the Public Guardian (OPG) are now able to claim refunds under a scheme recently launched by the Ministry of Justice (MoJ).
