Hollie Alcock

Solicitor, Higher Court Advocate and Accredited Police Station Representative

Criminal Law

I was called to the bar in 2010 and became a Chartered Legal Executive in 2015.

I have now cross qualified to become a Solicitor with Higher Rights of Audience.

I provide representation at the Police Station and follow this through to provide advocacy in the Magistrates and Youth Court.

If a case is sent to the Crown Court by the Magistrates Court, I will continue to undertake the litigation work on that case. I can then represent clients in the Crown Court or if this is a more specialist case, I will instruct a barrister.

I am fortunate to work in one of the best Miscarriage of Justice and Appeals teams in the country and enjoy providing advice on Appeals to the Court of Appeal and CCRC.

Prison Law

I have a keen interest in Prison Law and I supervise the Prison Law Department.

I provide written representations on behalf of prisoners seeking assistance in all types of Prison Law Matters. I particularly enjoy providing advocacy representation at Independent Adjudications and Parole Hearings.

My work throughout the years has caused me to have a specific interest in helping people who were subjected the IPP sentences.

I am keen to assist anybody who is applying for release following the imposition of an IPP or life sentence.
