Lauren joined JA Hughes in August 2019 and is a Family and Care Solicitor based at our Barry office. She is involved with non-molestation proceedings, children matters, and care cases both public and privately funded.
After attending Neath Port Talbot College to complete her A Levels, Lauren studied Law at Swansea University achieving a 2:1 and completed her LPC, also in Swansea University, in 2011 with Commendation.
After working as a family paralegal in various firms Lauren completed her training contract in December 2015. Lauren has had the opportunity of working in South Wales, Bristol and Gloucester and has enjoyed the varied experiences each area has had to offer. Lauren’s highlight of her career so far has been acting as a Junior advocate to QC in the High Court dealing with complex care proceedings involving allegations of sexual abuse and undertaking a 45 day fact finding hearing. Lauren has recently been accredited to the Family Law Panel and is deemed to be a specialist in this area.
In her spare time Lauren enjoys watching musicals and is a member of Neath Amateur Operatic Society. She enjoys rugby, spending time with her family and spending weekends in her caravan.
