QualitySolicitors Parkinson Wright are proud to be sponsoring Vicki Hancox of EM Eventing throughout the 2015 Eventing season.  Vicki is an International CCI* Intermediate level Eventer.

This season Vicki will be riding five horses and so far has won the Elementary and Novice Dressage on Thrift Linda May (Linda) with Dunaire Duke of York (Duke) coming 2nd in the Novice and 1st in the Prelim at Allens Hill Dressage.  She also came 2nd on Duke at Aston le Walls in Eventing at 100 level.  These are horses that she rides on behalf of their owners.  Her own horse, Noble Artist (Dudley) is unfortunately not competing this season due to a hock injury. Therefore, she is looking for rides at Int/2* level to help her progress. It has also been announced that Vicki along with Beth Evans, Stuart M Nie and Demi Ruane have been asked to represent Great Britain in the World Show Jumping Championships in Paris where she will be riding Dunaire Duke of York (Duke) owned by Mrs Beverley Joynes and Mr Scott Dew. Vicki and Duke won the RC National Eventing Championships in 2014.

Vicki and her family own and run a livery and competition yard in Lower Broadheath where she coaches riders of all abilities and ages. She helps and advises owners with the schooling of their horses either at her yard or the owner’s yard, whichever is the most convenient for the owner and horse. Vicki also rehabilitates horses with behavioural problems for their owners.

Vicki had a serious fall from her horse at a riding event in 2012. Despite her injuries which included breaking her back in two places she has continued to Event, competing at the National Championships, Aston le Walls in August 2012 where she won on Noble Artist (Dudley) in her own and the team selection.  She has also completed one of her dreams which was to compete at International level.

As a business owner and sportswoman, Vicki came to QualitySolicitors Parkinson Wright to make two Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPA), a Property and Finance (LPA) and a Health and Welfare (LPA.)

Jean Newton, Partner says: It was inspirational to meet a young business owner and sportswoman who recognises the need to protect herself and her business by making Lasting Powers of Attorney. No one can predict when this may be needed, therefore, it is important to have these formal arrangements in place now. We were delighted to offer her sponsorship for the 2015 Eventing season and wish her and her horses every success.”

Vicki says” As a business owner and event rider I am glad to have made these Lasting Power of Attorney arrangements now whilst I am fully able to do so.  I know how difficult it can be to do these things when you have been injured or incapacitated.”

If you would like additional information on how Vicki can help you or your horse she can be contacted on 07903 437622 or via email misshancox@hotmail.co.uk
